This is not, by any means, my favorite kickboxing routine. It’s really fast-paced, and if you’re not experienced in the sport, you could easily hurt yourself. There’s one unusual move in this routine, which she calls the “sprawl”, and which is like a weird burpee, where you press your hips down to the ground before jumping back up again. I think it’s kind of dangerous, and I really did not like it!
She teaches you the moves slowly, but once you get into the routine, it speeds by. Especially where the sprawls are concerned, it’s really hard to keep up, and really easy to hurt yourself. Do this workout with caution!
Besides the sprawl, however, there are some great punching and kicking moves in this routine that will really work your whole body! That part is really fun, and if you want, you can also replace the sprawls with a squat, which could be equally beneficial.
So, to be honest, this is not my favorite video. But if you’re experienced with kickboxing, you might like it! In any case, if you feel confident, give it a try and see if you do. I was extremely sore after this, so it’s definitely a good workout!
