This is a really nice cardio burn for the lower body. I had fun doing the different kinds of dance moves, but it burns! Being in squat position for several minutes at a time is pretty grueling.
The one thing I didn’t like about this video, however, is that Keaira stops clean in the middle of the workout to talk about the stuff she has on sale and is participating in, which is outdated. While I believe the Let’s Move by Michelle Obama project was a great initiative, it is now long over, and I don’t appreciate being interrupted in the middle of my workout to hear about it. I would have much preferred it to be at the beginning or the end.
Really, you can just skip over it, but it irked me, so I wanted to make a note of it.
Besides that, this is a great workout. It includes a warm-up and a cool-down, but both are pretty short, so you may need more. But since it does build up during the dance and the moves aren’t crazy intense, you can probably use this workout as a warm-up for a longer lower body workout if you’re pressed for time.
