I’m not sure what about this routine is “yogalates”, since the stretches are all pretty common stretches, except maybe the yogi squat. However, I expect the people who labeled it know what they’re talking about, so I’ll take their word for it.
As far as stretches go, this one has five pretty diverse moves that primarily target the lower body, but hit on the upper body a little bit too. They feel pretty nice and really help to loosen the muscles, especially after a workout.
However, since the moves are held for a whole minute each (or 30 seconds on each side), and there are only five moves, each of which is done twice, this routine is actually kind of boring. I would have much preferred to do a different set of stretches in the second round, especially because these stretches are kind of basic.
That being said, these are good stretches, and they’re great for a post workout cool-down. The moves are easy, except maybe for the yogi squat (don’t go all the way down if it’s hard for you), so anyone can do it, too!
