You wouldn’t think something as elegant as barre would get such a high torture rating, would you? This workout is only five minutes long but it’s actually a killer workout for your legs.
My thighs burned like the dickens, especially because I did this after Blogilates’ Inner Thigh Isolation video, which was almost the same as this this video (big mistake). My legs were shaking and my feet started to hurt. I’m not kidding; this is not an easy workout.
And when you get to the jumping pliés, you’ll want to die, because it bumps up the workout to a cardio exercise that will get your heartbeat up, all while your thighs are still burning. Thus the high torture level and the low fun level.
But it’s a short workout and it goes by fast, so you won’t regret doing it (once it’s done)!
If you’re already a beast (or you’re a little insane), get some small dumbbells and work your arms too (but I really don’t recommend it for the added torture…)!
