I appreciated this video because, even though my husband has touted the benefits of foam rolling for years, I’d never tried it. I’m the type of person who hates massages because A) I’m way too ticklish and B) I have naturally very tense muscles and they’re painful to me, so I always avoided trying it until I watched this video.
It turns out that, foam rolling….also hurts, I won’t lie. But thanks to this video I have a much better idea of why it hurts and how I should be using it, and now I use it any time I feel super sore or have low back pain!
Honestly, once I tried using a foam roller it seemed a little intuitive in hindsight, but I think it’s really helpful to know that changing the angle, changing the distribution of weight, and changing the movement of the roller makes all the difference. So if you’ve never tried foam rolling before, definitely give this video a try so you can learn how!
